Textile Merit Badge at Coggeshall Farm 

While working on the Textile merit badge, Scouts learn about the many uses of fabrics and fibers. They investigate how textiles are manufactured and the properties of different materials.

Mammal Study Merit Badge at Save the Bay

Through our life-sized, stuffed harbor seal model, Sealia, students learn the basics of marine mammalogy. By unzipping Sealia and examining her organs, participants learn about a seal’s internal anatomy and special adaptations that allow these furry creatures to thrive in the cold winter waters of Narragansett Bay. This program pairs well with a boat-based harbor seal migration and adaptation program. 

Law Merit badge with the Rhode Island Supreme Court 

Scouts during the Law Merit Badge Clinic may see or hear adult situations from the daily criminal calendar or perhaps in a trial. We are compelled to let you know this, as some of the charges, language and/or testimony or photos are not pleasant. In some cases, a judge may ask young visitors not to enter the courtroom. We ask that this program limited Scouts at least the age of 14 and older.
