Narragansett Council Online Charter Renewal
Each year all Packs, Troops, Crews, Ships, and Posts are required to recharter their unit. This process ensures that your unit's membership and Youth Protection Training records are up-to-date and accurate so that all members are protected and covered by insurance. It also assures that all Scouts are correctly listed so that advancement can be correctly and easily recorded.
Membership Cards and Charter Certificates can now be printed by the unit!
Internet Rechartering is the best method to help insure that the information you provide is accurate and current. It can be done from the convenience of your home or office and it’s secure and easy-to-use!

Youth Protection
The primary goal of the Boy Scouts of America is the safety of youth. For that reason, all leaders are required to complete this training before they can be registered!
The Online Recharter System will not allow your unit to charter with adults who do not have up-to-date Youth Protection Training. YPT reports can be pulled by your unit's Key-3 Leaders (unit leader, Charter Representative, and Committee Chair), their designated Delegate, or the Training Chair through My.Scouting.org
You will need to review the roster and inform individuals that they will need to take the Youth Protection Training if that YPT is set to expire during the new charter year. Direct them to My.Scouting.org web site and have them complete the training and give you a copy of the certificate of competition to turn in with your re-charter paperwork.
